Best Luxury Hotels in Cabo…With Perks and Upgrades
If you’re looking for the best luxury hotels in Cabo, there’s a big difference between booking online and booking with the right access. Here are the properties I actually recommend to clients—and how to get the most value from your stay.
One&Only Palmilla
Best for: Classic luxury, swimmable beach (which is VERY rare for Cabo)
Why I book it:
You can’t go wrong with the room category. All rooms are ocean-facing. Even the entry-level rooms come with a view.
Insider tip:
The Palmilla rooms in buildings 16 and 17 have amazing views and closest to the ocean. Considerations: Smaller Bathrooms with no free standing bathtub.
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal
Best for: Privacy + wow-factor arrivals
Why I book it:
Beautiful cliffside setting. Feels very private, but close to Downtown Cabo San Lucas if clients decided to leave the resort.
Insider tip:
El Farallon, their signature restaurant, is a destination in itself. Their champagne bar has the largest collection of champagne in Mexico. Advance reservations are a must! Meals at the resort are pricey, even for luxury resorts in Mexico. Buyers beware: A specialty coffee costs $15 (but it’s included in the complimentary breakfast I provide with our Hilton for Luxury partnership)
Las Ventanas al Paraíso, A Rosewood Resort
Best for: Effortless luxury & impeccable service
Why I book it:
Consistently great feedback on food quality. Clients always feel the staff goes above and beyond to make them feel VIP.
Insider tip:
Pools close around 5pm - Not the most ideal for couples and families who enjoy an evening swim.
Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Los Cabos
Best for: Ultra-private, design-forward stays with a strong sense of place
Why I book it:
It’s set slightly outside the main Cabo corridors, which gives it a more secluded, almost residential feel. The design is stunning but understated, and the service is highly personalized without ever feeling overbearing. Every room comes with a private plunge pool and generous outdoor space, so even at full occupancy, it never feels crowded.
Insider tip:
Oceanfront villas are absolutely worth the upgrade here (there’s a chance we can snag you an upgrade with our Marriott STARS partnership)…the views and sense of privacy are on another level. Also worth noting: the beach isn’t swimmable, so I always position this as more of a resort-focused stay rather than a beach-forward one.
